David L. Wyrick, Director of the Institute to Promote Athlete Health & Wellness, is UNCG’s nominee for the UNC system’s 2017 O. Max Gardner Award. The award was established by the UNC Board of Governors to recognize faculty who have “made the greatest contributions to the welfare of the human race.” This is the highest faculty honor awarded by the UNC Board of Governors and has been given annually since 1949.
